They say "All good things must come to an end" and sadly, after 11 and a half years gigging (June 2001 - Dec 2012), 'BlueonBlack' retired from the road at Christmas. This announcement comes after all 2013 Venues have been informed and gigs cancelled. The Band's websites along with any associated merchandise outlet pages (such as CD Baby for example) will remain open for a while longer. From it's creation in 2001, the Band has performed more than 900 gigs right across the UK (from Land's End to Aberdeen, plus dates in Europe and the USA), seen 7 personnel changes and self-released 3 CD's (the latest, 'Robert Johnsons Door' being released in August 2012). We have played alongside some amazing musicians, made lots of wonderful friends and above all had the privilege of playing our own music at some incredible venues and sharing our songs with some fantastic audiences. So it just remains for us to say a massive 'ThankYou' to all of the people who have shared our journey and supported the Band over the years and to shout out for one last time :- "On behalf of Blue on Black, Thank You for inviting us into your evenings, have a fantastic 'rest of your life' and above all, Take Care of Each Other".
Blue on Black have left the building. Band Endorsement from Ian Gillan of Deep Purple " First time I saw 'Blue on Black' I thought, damn these guys are good and I wasn't alone, the audience loved them. The second time I watched them do a fine job opening for Deep Purple. I'm happy to recommend them and their new CD 'Suckin Out Venom'.
